TODAY’S VERSE: Matthew 2:11
“On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh.”  [New International Version (NIV) Copyright © 1973, 1978, 1984 by International Bible Society]

TODAY’S MESSAGE
As we prepare to celebrate Christmas in a few days, I invite you to take some time to meditate on the response of these foreigners who came from such a long distance to locate a child who they somehow knew was The King born to the Jews. Guided by a bright star, they spent a great amount of time anxiously searching for him. Once they came face to face with Mary’s child, they bowed down to worship the baby, and offered the best of their treasures.

As we prepare to give out Christmas presents in honor of Jesus’ birth, I encourage you to ask yourself: What gift am I offering to the True Reason for the season? What do I have to offer Jesus that may please Him? In what ways can I express my genuine devotion to my Savior on Christmas and throughout the entire year? What else can I give outside of a heart after Him, a heart that passionately worships Him, a heart that is willing to give Him the very best?

You and I know what that is, and the time has come to come and worship…

TODAY’S PRAYER
Thank You, Heavenly Father, for the awesome gift of Your Son Who was born one day to grant us eternal life in You. During this Christmas season, help me to focus my heart in honoring You above all things. Show me, Dear Lord, how to surrender my entire life as the most precious and invaluable gift I could ever offer You. I bring my heart to You right now, and thank You for receiving it. In Your Son Jesus’ precious name, amen.
